Day WTF

I have written a book of short stories (shameless plug - Tangled Tales can be found on Amazon here), building my Benable store, exploring Amazon Associates, and researching all kinds of bs.

I have made $4.16 on Benable.

Not sure what $ amount you need to get a payout, but $4.16 ain't it.

I have had sales on Amazon via my affiliate links, but nothing commissionable. Why not? I have no clue.

Whop and Clip have been placed on the backburner only because it feels like stealing people's content.

I did apply for Transcribe Me, but haven't finished the testing to get in. This is much more of a pt job than generating online income that is mostly passive. But, sometimes I have downtime and this is an easy one that seems to pay the most of any of the odd side hustles I have seen.

My book has one sale, so nothing exciting to report there.

If you have read any of my previous posts, you know I am currently fighting a losing battle only because I hate seeing my face talk on social media and I refuse to shell out any money for any course, platform, etc. With all of my research, I have found that in order to be successful you really have to be active on social media. So, my "fix" is to start using AI generated people. I am not sure if I will use a version of myself of someone I create. I found a few sites that will allow you to test their AI people, so I am currently going down the rabbit hole to find one that works for my purpose. If I can find a platform that has what I am looking for, I am open to paying. Stay tuned....

I am seeing so many people do mystery shopping, but that requires me to leave the house - nope. Not doing that. I am looking for online generated income only.

Day 10

Today was a wash. I actually posted to my social media, so yay for that. My post was about FLIP and the now $39.60 it shows that I made. Meh. I don't have high hopes for this workstream.

I signed up for TryMata today. This is a platform where you apply to test platforms, etc and you earn around $30 per test. I had to do a sample that is now in review for approval. Again, not too high hopes for this one.

Benable is going ok. Still no money made, but I have had a few views. At least that is something.

I am now learning how to sell on Amazon KDP. I have signed up and have an account. I am looking into a few tools that will show me what isn't oversaturated and in demand so I can create my first book. This will be my focus for the next few days. Standby.....

Day 9

So, I didn't post because I am all kinds of frustrated. People are liars. The internet is a liar. "Sally" who says she's just a girl trying to do the same thing I am is a liar. Holy hell fire.

Let's start with some good news. People are viewing my Benable page. No one has bought anything, so I have made $0. But, I see folks are looking. I decided to up my game there and added a few cruises we have been on (currently I have my fave Amazon things and travel stuff I can't leave the house without when I go on trips). I'll keep you updated there.

OK, so I am thinking that I should start posting about all of the bullshit that doesn't work. First, Amazon. I am not saying it is bullshit entirely. I did use my affiliate links to post to my Benable that I was able to generate via my Amazon Associates link. I have been denied for Amazon Influencer. I have no idea why. My TikTok has over 7k followers. My main Insta has over 1k. My main FB has over 1k. The only thing I can think of is that I only post travel and bs. I don't post anything that has to do with sales, promoting products, etc. I have tried to look into that and went down a rabbit hole that just took me in circles. I spent about 4 hours asking different AI tools, Googling, watching YouTube videos, etc etc etc and got absolutely nowhere. I am putting this on pause while I regain my composure.

Next up, FLIP. I had to set this one aside too because it was working my last nerve. They show money coming in at the top right of your feed. I scroll, I comment, etc and the amount goes up. But, click that and it goes to their games and whatnot to use there (I think). My feed is still a hot mess and is all over the place with ish I don't want to see. I have posted all of two videos (that I just recorded in the app because I wanted to test the waters and not go all out on editing). BS views. I think I will record a few things on CapCut and edit them = then throw them on FLIP to see how they do.

If I hear one more person on my Insta feed talk about pdf farming...that is a hard no for me. I went down a rabbit hole about this and nah bro. Unless you want to index them for SEO or very specific niche content distribution - don't even bother. But, if you have the following or drilled down outlet available - this might be something worthwhile. I just don't have the time or energy to chase this one.
