Ugh. I am so frustrated. It's been almost an entire week and still no EIN for my company. This means I am at a standstill with Amazon (they require your EIN to complete set up of your Associates/Storefront). I am also at a standstill opening my business payout accounts - yes, you must have your EIN for those obviously. I don't want to link any of my personal accounts to Amazon or any of my other passive income streams because come tax time, I don't want any hassle. So, I am on pause for posting/creating on platforms but I have been doing other research. Mostly online income research, but some research like SingleMomSaga :P

New find: FLIP. This is an app only platform. Looks like another social media platform that has sprung up. This one is $ driven. Making money on this platform is how they seem to be promoting it. Monetizing isn't an option, it's the goal. So, I have created my FLIP account. Journey with me and let's see how this one goes:

Today I explored Whop because I am still waiting on my LLC to be approved (so I can't dive into the Amazon programs yet). What tf is Whop and can I make money from it? Whop is a social commerce platform where users can create and sell access to digital communities and tools. It essentially allows creators to offer online courses, private community access, digital downloads, and other services, often bundled together and called "whops". But I have none of these, so I am going to focus on clipping existing content to see if I can make any money there. First thing's first, what fuggin content do I clip and how do I drill down to a niche that isn't oversaturated (that people want to watch)? First thing that comes to mind is comedy...maybe pet vids? Eh, let's explore the platform first and then decide on a niche.

I am not going to lie. Joining Whop immediately made me think that there is money to be made here, but pretty much everywhere has people that will convince you there is money to be made....so, let's go down the rabbit hole with this one. They show you accounts and what they offer and I thought - heck yeah, I can totally do this.

Now that I have joined and I have a Whop page, setup begins. Important things to do for your Whop page. Link all of your socials. Right now I only have Insta and X, so linked those to my Whop. Set up your payment method because mama needs to get paid! Since I set up my LLC and will keep everything separate, I had to create a new Stripe account - no big deal. BUT WAIT. Stipe is a piece of ish for taking live photos of your ID. They don't allow an upload, you must take a live photo. I tried my ID, my license, and my passport. It wouldn't read any of them on my pc (I have a brand new LG Gram - LOVE this jazzy ass machine). I ended up taking the photos on my shitty iphone 13 and it worked. So, moving on... The rest was pretty straightforward.

Setup is done. Page created. Payout account linked. Now what??? I started by reading the Learn section on the Whop Clips page. Let the learning begin.

Today is Saturday June 7, 2025 and I am writing my first ever blog post about my online passive income journey. Thus far I have created an LLC on LegalZoom, been accepted into the Amazon Affiliates program and the Amazon Seller Central program. I created an Instagram page and an X page for my socials. I am here on this site to document my journey and thus far all I have done is spent damn money. From what I can tell, I have to wait for my LLC to be approved before I can move forward. These arseholes on the interwebs spew a bunch of bs when they tell you this ish is easy. IT IS WORK. Today I will create some kind of business plan while I wait on my LLC to be approved so I can start with the Amazon platforms. Why the Amazon platforms? I figured that I would start with a company I already know to try and establish something legit before I dig into all of the other mayhem I have seen online. I need something positive to start off with before I dive into the potential bs.

I think I am going to start a podcast, but for now it's just a thought in this crazy head. Let's not get ahead of ourselves...

Takeaways/steps taken today:

  • Created an LLC (need to have for Amazon, etc to collect revenue)

  • Started building a website on Wix

  • Signed up for Amazon Associates

  • Signed up for Amazon Influencer Program

  • Started to set up my Amazon Storefront/completed onboarding form for Amazon Seller Central
